“Living with my mother helps with my mental health” – Ji Chang Wook

Ji Chang Wook talked about living with his mom in his 30s and how she’s his “driving force.” In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel of tvN’s You Quiz on the Block, he mentioned how tough it was when his dad passed away early and how his mom went through so much.

It’s so touching to hear him say that he’s always felt like he needed to protect her since he was young.

In another interview, he said how much living with her helps his mental health. “It’s not like I am a devoted son. Since she lives alone and if I were to live out, I think she would be too lonely. Also, living with my mother helps with my mental health, because when I am working, I would get depressed sometimes.

So if I had stayed in the dark alone, I think it would have been tougher for me. The fact that when I get home, my mother is there living a regular life, laughing while watching the TV with the lights on, eating food, and other daily things like that, helps me relax and heal.”
