In one television appearance, he humorously claimed to have dated nine women. According to Kdramastars, he initially planned to marry by 37, but has since revised this to 41. He cheekily added, “At 41 years old—with a 21-year-old.”
Kim Soo Hyun once mentioned that his ideal woman was British actress Kaya Scodelario, with whom he has done a photoshoot.
In a 2007 interview, he provided more serious details about his ideal type, but it is still hard to tell. He says:
“When I am sad, she needs to be sad because of me. She needs to have regrets. She needs to think of me no matter who she sees, and more than anything, she should never doubt me.”
