Lee Dong Wook psychopath strangers from hell

Trigger Warning: This article contains references to torture.

Lee Dong Wook took on his first villain role in the 2018 horror Korean drama “Stranger From Hell,” portraying a seemingly friendly dentist who is actually a psychopathic serial killer.

In an interview on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block,” Lee Dong Wook shared his experiences:

“I thought I was doing fine even when playing the villain, but my friends told me that my eyes had changed. One day, I looked into the mirror after washing my face and didn’t recognize myself. That’s when I knew I had to pull myself together,” he said.

He recounted a particular scene where he had to pull out someone’s teeth for torture and got too immersed in the role. “I found myself contemplating, ‘How can I pull the teeth so it’s more painful?’ At that moment, I realized I needed to be more careful when playing such roles,” he shared.

The actor emphasized that he constantly reminded himself that it was all just acting and that such things should never happen in reality. (Source: 1)

So it is proven! Lee Dong Wook gives his all for a character in the drama. No wonder, we all love him!
