You might have seen power struggle Korean dramas involving men, but this new Korean drama, “Queen Woo,” is making a difference. Here, the queen struggles to reclaim her throne after the death of her husband. She must find a way within 24 hours to secure her position.
The trailer depicts Queen Woo, portrayed by Jeon Jung Seo, as fearless, beautiful, and strong. We also see Ji Chang Wook playing the role of the queen’s husband, who dies in battle (will Ji Chang Wook really die at the beginning?). Rumors within the palace begin to circulate as they consider a new queen. Soon, Queen Woo is warned of a grave threat to her life. She remembers her husband’s words, “From now on, you need to protect yourself.”
Then, more characters of *Queen Woo* are introduced, including:
– Kim Mu Yeol as Eulpaso, the Prime Minister of Goguryeo and the king’s soldier,
– Jeong Yoo Mi as Queen Woo’s older sister, Wol Sun,
– Lee Soo Hyuk as Go Bal Gi, the prince of Goguryeo and one of three candidates for succession to the throne, and
– finally, Park Ji Hwan as Commander Mugol.
The trailer ends with the powerful voice of Queen Woo saying, “I want to hear about my fate.”
Really! What will Queen Woo’s fate be in the drama? I’m pretty excited to watch it now. But will Ji Chang Wook die, or is there more to the story? Everything makes me curious to watch this thrilling historical action series. Here is the trailer:
