You might be thinking this is Kim Yoo Jung and Yeo Jin Goo from their “Moon Embracing The Sun” (2012) days. But nope!
Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung actually teamed up earlier, playing the young versions of the main characters in the 2008 Korean drama “Iljimae.” The photo below is from the 2008 SBS Drama Awards, where these two cuties snagged the “Best Child Actor” award for their performances in “Iljimae.”
“Iljimae” is kind of like Korea’s take on “Robin Hood,” with an all-star cast including Lee Joon Ki, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Young Ah, and Park Si Joo. The story follows Geom Yeo Jin Gu, who, after witnessing his father’s murder as a child, gets adopted by a thief. As a teen, he remembers the tragedy and seeks revenge, becoming the legendary thief ‘Iljimae’ in Joseon.
Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung played the younger versions of Lee Joon Ki and Han Hyo Joo’s characters.
