Korean drama “My Dearest” on MBC is getting even more popular!
On August 25, the latest episode (7) with actors Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin got its highest viewership ratings ever. A lot of people watched it – about 10.6 percent of all viewers in the country. This is almost 2 percent more than the last episode last week.
The show didn’t just do well in its time slot, it also became the most-watched show for people aged 20 to 49. Among this group, it got an average rating of 3.4 percent.
The Korean drama “My Dearest” is a historical romance set during the Joseon period when Qing invaded Joseon. Yoo Gil Chae (Ahn Eun Jin) comes from a noble family but becomes more mature and encounters the mysterious Lee Jang Hyun (Namgoong Min) after the Qing invasion. Lee Jang Hyun is an unfamiliar man in Neunggeun Village who falls in love with Yoo Gil Chae despite his past aversion to love. Their love faces challenges due to war and struggles, leading them to part ways to protect their loved ones.
Another show, “The First Responders 2,” on SBS that airs at the same time as “My Dearest,” got an average rating of 6.2 percent.
