According to news, on February 23rd, an official from “Queen of Tears” announced actor Song Joong-ki’s special appearance in the drama “Queen of Tears,” which stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.
What made his special appearance possible was his fellowship with actress Kim Ji Won, who is not only working under the same agency but also co-starred in the previous dramas “Descendants of the Sun” and “Arthdal Chronicles.”
Not only this, but Song Joong Ki and Kim Soo Hyun will be appearing on-screen together after many years, as they last appeared together in 2009 in the drama “Will It Snow For Christmas?”
“Queen of Tears” Korean drama that tells the love story of the married couple Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) and Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won), who stayed strong during the tough times as they encountered a crisis during their third year of marriage.
Asking about Song Joong Ki’s special appearance according to news, an official from “Queen of Tear” said, “Please understand that details about Song Joong Ki’s role cannot be disclosed to prevent spoilers.” Regardless, fans are super excited to see him in another role, whether it is a main role or a guest appearance.
Meanwhile, according to FlixPatrol, the drama “Queen of Tears” made it to Netflix‘s Top 10 lists in 40+ countries, ranking #8 worldwide. And according to Netflix, “Queen of Tears” ranked 7th globally in the Global Top 10 non-English series ranking.
So far, the drama “Queen of Tears” has released only two episodes, with its premiere on March 9 that scored a rating of 5.85% (nationwide) and 6.49% (metropolitan). The first episode enjoyed good viewership, but it jumped to 8.66% (nationwide) and 9.82% (metropolitan) and is expected to score more viewership in upcoming episodes.
