Upcoming Disney+ action-romance Korean drama “Scandal of Hwain Family” has confirmed Rain (Ghost Doctor) and Kim Ha Neul (Kill Heel) as the main leads.
“Scandal of Hwain Family” tells the story of Wan Soo, a daughter-in-law of the wealthy Hwain family. She’s married into the Hwain family and enjoys a perfect life, achieving the No. 1 title as a professional golf player, becoming the chairman of a foundation, and gaining worldwide fame through her charity activities. However, her perfect life takes a turn when she crosses paths with Do Yoon, her new bodyguard.
Do Yoon is a graduate of a police academy with excellent martial arts skills, but he harbors a hidden agenda for working with the Hwain family. One day, he saves Wan Soo’s life, leading her to become attracted to him, and a secret of the Hwain family is revealed to her.
Rain is confirmed to play the role of Wan Soo’s new bodyguard, Do Yoon, while Kim Ha Neul will portray the role of Wan Soo.
The drama is helmed by the PD known for dramas like “Hwayugi” and “The Greatest Love,” among others. It’s anticipated to be released in 2024 with a total of 10 episodes exclusively on the streaming platform Disney+.
