Upcoming Netflix Korean drama “Two Women” has confirmed its main cast. Kim Go Eun (Little Women), Kim Gun Woo (The Glory) and Park Ji Hyun (Flex X Cop) will now be starring together as leads in the drama.
“Two Women” will narrate the panoramic story of two friends, Eun Jung and Sang Yeon, from their school days to their 40s. Eun Jung, a warm-hearted and honest individual, befriended Cheon Sang Yeon, who hailed from a wealthy background, during their childhood. Despite being best friends, they experienced periods of mutual hatred, leading to separations and reunions until their 30s.
Years later, in their 40s, they cross paths again, with Eun Jung now a drama writer and Sang Yeon a filmmaker. Presently, Sang Yeon is battling terminal cancer and requests Eun Jung’s company in her final moments.
It’s confirmed that Kim Go Eun will portray the character of drama writer Eun Joong, while Park Ji Eun will take on the role of her affluent friend and director, Sang Yeon.
Meanwhile, Kim Gun Woo is confirmed to portray the role of Kim Sang Hak, a camera enthusiast who once dated Eun Joong during their college days. Their relationship was sincere, but they eventually broke up. Now, as a successful film director, Kim Sang Hak reenters Eun Joong’s life, creating new twists in their story.
The drama is being helmed by the PD (Production Director) known for dramas like “The Interest of Love” and “Do You Like Brahms?” It’s being written by the screenwriter of “The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.”
“Two Women” will be released in over 190 countries around the world only through Netflix. The exact releasing date is yet to be disclosed. (Source)
