Exciting news for the fans of Jun Ji Hyun (Jirisan) as she is expected to return with a Spy Romance drama.
Currently, the actress is in discussions to headline the upcoming Korean drama series “Polaris.”
This new Korean drama series delves into the world of espionage and romance, with spies embarking on a journey to uncover their true identity which they lost over time. While the specific character Jun Ji Hyun might portray remains undisclosed at this stage.
Alongside Jun Ji Hyun, actor Kang Dong Won is also offered take on a leading role in the series. If he accepts the offer, it would mark a notable return to television for Kang Dong Won after 20 years. He has mostly starred in movies. His last Korean drama was “Magic” back in 2004.
The series will be crafted by the creative duo of screenwriter Jung Seo Kyung and director Kim Hee Won, who previously collaborated on “Little Women.” PD Kim Hee Won has helmed popular productions like “The Crowned Clown,” “Crash Landing on You,” and “Vincenzo.”
As for the release date, “Polaris” is slated to make its debut on screens sometime in 2023 or in 2024.
