International Heartthrob and “Nation’s Treasure” Lee Min Ho is back on-screen as a rich and powerful Merchant. And this time, the actor is playing the role of a villain.

Apple TV+ unveiled the first look of its upcoming highly anticipated international drama series “Pachinko”. The series will be told in three languages, Korean, Japanese, and English. The drama will debut globally on 25 March 2022. The first three episodes will release during premiere and after that, each new episode will air every Friday. The 8 episodes series will end on 29 April 2022.

“Pachinko” is based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by Korean-American author Min Jin Lee.

The series tells the story of a Korean family who moves to Japan during the times when it wasn’t easy for Koreans to live in Japan, as they faced discrimination. It was a time when the only employment for many Koreans living in Japan was in the “Pachinko parlors”.

The main cast of the show includes Lee Min Ho who’s playing the role of Kon Hansu, a rich and powerful merchant in Japan. The main protagonist is called Sunja played by different actresses throughout the series: Minha Kim as a teenager, Yu-na Jeon as young Sunja and Oscar winner Youn Yuh-jung plays the older Sunja. The other Cast members include Jin Ha, Jung Eun Chae, Anna Sawai, Soji Arai and Kho Minami.

“Pachinko” is scheduled to air on Apple TV+ on March 25, 2022. Apple TV+ is the global streaming platform available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions.
