Park Jung Min (Hellbound) and Kim Jisoo (Snowdrop) from the world’s top girl group, BLACKPINK are currently considering offers for a new zombie Kdrama!
Both have received offers for “Influenza” (tentative title) and are confirmed to be in the process of considering starring in this zombie thriller romance drama.
“Influenza” will tell the story of Jae Yoon and Young Joo who reunites during a zombie outbreak after break up.
Jae Yoon enlisted in the military at the age of 26, after unsuccessfully attempting to secure an alternative job in the defense industry. Presently, he serves in the high-rise air defense unit in Seoul. Despite having a girlfriend, he sends her a breakup notice during his military service.
His girlfriend, Young Joo, has recently entered the workforce. Upon receiving the breakup message from her boyfriend, she decides to visit him. However, they soon find themselves amidst a zombie outbreak, which ultimately brings them closer as they join forces to survive and emerge as strong individuals during this urgent situation.
If confirmed BLACKPINK’s Jisoo will take the role Young Joo while Park Jung Min that of Young Joo’s boyfriend, Jae Yoon.
The drama has some impressive talent behind it, including the writer of the Oscar-winning masterpiece “Parasite.”
Further details about the drama’s cast, release date, and streaming platform is yet to be disclosed.
