Synopsis
“The Queen Who Crowns” Korean drama tells the story of Queen Wongyeong, who played a key role in the early Joseon Dynasty. Born into a respected family during the Goryeo period, she marries Yi Bang Won, the son of King Taejo. When Yi Bang Won is not chosen to be the next king, Queen Wongyeong helps him become King Taejong. After he becomes king, their relationship starts to suffer because he takes many concubines. To strengthen his rule, King Taejong tries to control Queen Wongyeong and her family. The show shows her journey as she moves from being a supportive wife to a powerful figure in the royal court.
