Another star-studded Netflix original Korean drama is coming!
“Hong Rang” will star Lee Jae Wook (Alchemy of Souls), Jo Bo Ah (Destined With You), Kim Jae Wook (Crazy Love), Jung Ga Ram (The Interest of Love), Park Byung Eun, and Uhm Ji Won.
Based on a Novel, “Tangeum” will tell a mystery romance story centered around the late Joseon era.
Jae Yi belongs to a wealthy merchant family in Joseon. She has a half brother, Hong Rang with whom she has been close since childhood. However, he disappeared at age 8. Jae Yi soon soon discovers the dark secrets of her family while searching and waiting for her brother. Decades later, Hong Rang comes back, however, now he has no memory of his past and lives completely as a different person. Jae Yi suspects that Hong Rang is not real and ends up becoming attracted to him.
Jo Bo Ah is confirmed to play the role of Jae Yi while Lee Jae Wook will take the role of Hong Rang.
Meanwhile, Kim Jae Wook will portray, Prince Han Pyeong, a character who likes art more than politics.
Jung Ga Ram is set to portray Moo Jin, Shim Yeol Guk’s adopted son, who steps into Hong Rang’s role after his disappearance. Jae Yi gets into a love traingle with Moo Jin and Hong Rang whom she suspects as fake.
Park Byung Eun takes on the role of Shim Yeol Guk, a determined and unyielding ‘danju’, who is the biological father of Hong Rang and Jae Yi. He is unafraid to make ruthless decisions in pursuit of his own ambitions.
Uhm Ji Won will play Min Yeon Eui, Shim Yeol Guk’s wife, who is determined to locate her missing son, Hong Rang, and will go to great lengths to do so.
“Hong Rang” is expected to have a total of 12 episodes that will release on Netflix. Exact airing date is yet to be disclosed.
