Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun starrer new Korean drama “Welcome to Samdalri” first trailer is absolutely hilarious!
“Welcome to Samdalri” is an upcoming jTBC drama series that comes from the PD of drama “When the Camellia Blooms”.
It tells the healing romance story of Jo Young Pil (Ji Chang Wook) and his childhood friend, Jo Sam Dal (Shin Hye Sun).
Jo Young Pil is a weather forecaster who takes on this job to safeguard the residents of his hometown, Samdalri, on Jeju Island. When he was young, he lost his mother due to an inaccurate weather report. This tragic event led him to make a commitment to remain in his hometown and carry out his work with precision. His unwavering dedication to providing accurate weather reports often leads to conflicts with his boss.
On the other hand, Jo Young Pil’s childhood friend, Jo Sam Dal, with whom he shares 30 years of history and cherished memories, had always been determined to go to Seoul. However, due to a particular incident, they became separated and lost all contact with each other. Sam Dal eventually makes her way to Seoul, adopting the name Eun Hye, and starts working as an assistant in the field of fashion photography. She climbs to the top but faces a swift downfall. Subsequently, Sam Dal returns to Samdalri.
The trailer commences with a man informing his friend via phone that Jo Sam Dal has returned. This news quickly spreads throughout Samdalri, and everyone eagerly anticipates Sam Dal’s arrival. However, Ji Chang Wook appears visibly upset. He roams the streets, urgently searching for her, as if has something important to tell her.
Subsequently, we witness Shin Hye Sun hiding near a trash can, exclaiming that her arrival was meant to be a secret. It seems like her coming back to Samdalri has caused a lot of trouble. The trailer ends with Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun getting into a fight, and Shin Hye Sun angrily throws something at Ji Chang Wook.
I’m totally captivated by the trailer. It reminds me of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” but with even more enjoyable and funny moments, and I’m totally excited about it.
Kdrama “Welcome to Samdalri” will release on December 2 at 10:30 p.m. KST on broadcasting network jTBC.
