So the most loved Korean drama of 2025 has finally come to an end. The latest historical fantasy drama “Bon Appetit, Your Majesty” starring Lee Chae Min and Yoona has become the highest rated mini series of 2025 so far.
The drama remained on top for five consecutive weeks in the TV-OTT combined actor popularity category (based on Good Data Corporation’s FUNdex) and topped Netflix’s Global TOP10 TV (Non-English) category for two consecutive weeks.
If you haven’t yet finished the drama then I suggest to avoid reading this post further.
In the final episode, we see that King Lee Yeon was able to travel to the future from Joseon and finds Yeon Ji Yeong at a restaurant just one month after she came back from the past. In the last scene, Yeon Ji Yeong tells the viewers that when she asked the King how he came to the future, he told her that it’s a secret.
This could be a hint, or it might definitely open up the possibility of a season 2 of Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. I don’t know why they didn’t show the King’s adjustment to the modern world, because that would have been so interesting. Maybe they saved it for season 2? 😉
If so, we could finally see the Joseon King trying to adapt to modern life, along with even more sweet chemistry between Lee Chae Min and Yoona. Their chemistry is already so loved by viewers that many are asking not only for another drama with them in a modern setting, but also for a season 2.
Since Bon Appetit, Your Majesty and the cast got so much love, and the story could totally continue in an interesting way, I feel like we can really expect a season 2. What do you think?
