Ji Chang Wook (If You Wsh Upon Me) is offered to star in yet another Korean drama, this time it will be a webtoon adaption.
“Pine” is a webtoon created by Yoon Tae Ho who also is the creator behind the hit webtoon “Misaeng”, which was also adapted into an award winning drama.
Ryu Seung Ryong (Moving) is also offered for the same drama and is currently considering to star.
“Pine” will tell a story which is based on a true event of 1975 when a 200 ton merchant ship carrying a vast collection of artifacts which included 7 million in Chinese currency and 22,000 Song and Yuan ceramics, was discovered near Sinan, Jeollanam province. And a man and his nephew go for looking that treasure to find underwater artifacts off the coast of Sinan.
If confirmed Ji Chang Wook and Ryu Seung Ryong will play the roles of nephew and his uncle.
Ji Chang Wook will also be appearing in the upcoming Netflix crime-action drama “The Worst Evil” which is set to release this September on 27th.
After that, soon Ji Chang Wook will be seen with Shin Hye Sun (See You In My 19th Life) in a romance Korean drama “Welcome to Samdalri”. The filming for this series began this April and is expected to last until December.
Kdrama “Pine” is expected to release in 2024.
