Kdrama fans are drawn in by the new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming kdrama, which highlights an emotional and humorous exchange between the main lead characters as they attempt to save their marriage which is on the verge of collapsing.
The upcoming Korean drama “Queen of Tears,” features Kim Soo Hyun (One Ordinary Day) and Kim Ji Won (My Liberation Notes) in the main cast. Actor Kim Soo Hyun is returning on screen after three years with another rom-com drama.
In the beginning of the trailer, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won are shown as a happily married couple in their early days. But soon, their 3-year marriage seems to be falling apart. After seeing Kim Soo Hyun drunk and crying in the trailer, fans are also expecting some hilarious scenarios.
At first, Kim Ji Won is shown as a strong boss lady who can hold guns too, but in the middle of the trailer, she’s also shown as a fearful and fragile woman who’s holding on just to save whatever is left in their relationship.
The trailer ends with them expressing their deep feelings toward each other. Overall, the trailer is an emotional and hilarious journey of a married couple whose relationship lost its spark but still they are ready to overcome all the difficulties, jealousy, and challenges just to stay together.
This drama is going to be a rollercoaster of emotions. I’m excited for the sweet and calm moments between the couple, but I’m also looking forward to the funny and fluffy scenes, maybe even some jealousy. It seems like there will be moments with Kim Ji Won being a boss lady and Kim Soo Hyun getting into funny situations. Honestly, I can’t decide what I’m most excited about, but I can’t wait for the new Kim Kim couple.
“Queen of Tears” will tell the love story of the married couple Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In who stayed strong during the tough times, as they encounter crisis during their third year of marriage.
Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) is the legal director for conglomerate Queens Group. He belongs to Yongdu-ri village, where he remains the most successful man. He is handsome and humble by nature. His wife Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won) is the daughter of the family that owns and operates the Queens Group. She is popular by the name “Arrogant Queen” at the Queens Department Store, as she refuses bows down to anyone.
The drama is from the writer of the “Crash Landing on You” series and is set to air on March 9 on tvN every Saturday & Sunday at 21:20 KST. It will also be available to stream online on TVING, and Netflix in selected regions. -(By Nishima Saini)
