Overview: “The First Night with the Duke” Kdrama (also known as “I Took the Male Lead”) is a KBS2 original drama series that released on June 11, 2025, and starring Seo Hyun, Ok Taec Yeon, Kwon Han Sol, Seo Bum June, and Ji Hye Won. It will tell the story of an ordinary college student who one day accidentally goes into her favourite novel and ends up spending the night with its male lead.

Synopsis
“The First Night with the Duke” Korean drama tells the story of an ordinary college student one day accidentally goes into her favourite novel where she becomes the minor character Cha Seon Chaek (Seohyun). In the novel, she is the daughter of a wealthy noble family who only wishes for a peaceful life. There she happens to meet the main lead of the novel Lee Beon (TaecYeon) who comes from a royal lineage.
Lee Beon tells Cha Seon Chaek about his heartbreaking past and she consoles him and end up spending the night together. However, in the novel the female lead is Jo Eun Ae (Kwon Han Sol). Now, Cha Seon Chaek tries to bring Lee Beon and Jo Eun Ae together. But, now Lee Beon is in love with Cha Seon Chaek.
