The upcoming Korean drama “Queen of Tears” has finalized its main cast lineup, with Kim Soo Hyun (One Ordinary Day), Kim Ji Won (My Liberation Notes), Park Sung Hoon (The Bequeathed), Kwak Dong Yeon (Gaus Electronics), and Lee Joo Bin (Love to Hate You) portraying five main characters.
“Queen of Tears” will tell the love story of the married couple Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In who stayed strong during the tough times, as they encounter crisis during their third year of marriage.
Baek Hyun Woo (portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun) is the legal director for conglomerate Queens Group. He belongs to Yongdu-ri village, where he remains the most successful man. He is handsome and humble by nature.
His wife Hong Hae In (portrayed by Kim Ji Won) is the daughter of the family that owns and operates the Queens Group. She is popular by the name “Arrogant Queen” at the Queens Department Store, as she refuses bows down to anyone.
Park Sung Hoon is playing Yoon Eun Seong, who was an M&A expert and used to work as analyst. He’s a famous investor coming back to Korea after living abroad for a while, and he’s getting to know the Queens family.
Kwak Dong Yeon is portraying Hong Soo Cheol, the boss of Queens Mart. He’s the younger brother of Hong Hae in. He’s happily married to Cheon Da Hye who is completely opposite to his sister’s personality.
Lee Joo Bin is acting as Cheon Da Hye, the lovely wife of Hong Soo Cheol. She’s admired in the Queens Group for her beauty, good manners, and the smart reputation of her family.
The drama is from the writer of the “Crash Landing on You” series and is set to air sometime in March. The exact release date of “Queen of Tears” is yet to be updated.
