Actor Choi Jin Hyuk (Miss Night & Day) recently opened up about his struggles with trust after being cheated on twice.
During a candid appearance on SBS’ show “Four Men” on June 18, Choi Jin Hyuk got real about his challenging dating experiences. Host Lee Sang Min brought up Jin Hyuk’s tough romantic history, pointing out that he had been heartbroken twice by girlfriends who cheated on him.
Reflecting on those painful times, Choi Jin Hyuk shared, “Yeah, I was deeply shocked. Facing betrayal again so soon after the first time was really tough. She seemed so kind and genuine that I never imagined she could do that to me.”
He went on to say, “She was always kind and polite, so it was hard to believe. We were together for about two years, and it made it difficult for me to trust people, especially in relationships.”
Co-host Tak Jae Hoon chimed in with some empathetic words, saying, “I understand where you’re coming from. But nobody knows what the future holds. If you meet someone you truly love, those doubts will fade away. That’s why people decide to marry—those defensive thoughts can change suddenly.”
Choi Jin Hyuk also previously opened up about his ex-girlfriend’s betrayal on another SBS show, “My Little Old Boy.” He revealed, “I even considered marrying her, but she cheated on me. This is my first time talking about it on air, but she completely betrayed me. It’s been hard for me to date anyone since. It turns out I was the other guy; she had a boyfriend all along. We dated for over a year, and for all that time, I wasn’t her main boyfriend. Unbelievable, right?”
It’s clear that Choi Jin Hyuk has been through a lot, but his openness about his experiences shows his strength and willingness to heal. As a fan, I sincerely hope he finds the love and trust he deserves in the future.
