We have an update on the upcoming fantasy romance Korean drama “Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol” which is starring Kim Jung Hyun (Mr. Queen) and Im Soo Hyang (Doctor Lawyer) in the main cast.
MBC officially revealed the supporting cast and the premiering date for their new series. The drama “Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol” is now confirmed to have Kim Dasom (Was it Love?), An Woo Yeon (Young Lady and Gentlemen), Kim In Kwon (The Good Detective 2), and Cha Chung Hwa (Why Her?) in the supporting cast.
“Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol” will tell the crime-thriller themed fantasy love story between an eccentric and cruel grim reaper and a doctor with mysterious abilities.
Kkok Du (Kim Jung Hyun) is the eccentric and cruel grim reaper. Today, he is the only being to exist in the underworld. One day, he gets on the wrong side of God, as a result, he is now cursed to go to Earth after every 99 years. There he has to punish evil people and lead the deceased in the afterlife. He lands in the body of a man named Do Jin Woo, he looks exactly like him. On Earth, he meets Han Gye Jeol (Im Soo Hyang).
Han Gye Jeol is a doctor who graduated from a university which is ranked last in South Korea. This always makes her feel inferior from the doctors who graduated from prestigious universities. Her only family is her younger brother. Gye Jeol life seems to be changing after she meets Do Jin Woo.
Further cast, Kim Dasom will play golden girl Tae Jung Won, and An Woo Yeon will play Han Gye Jeol’s younger brother and detective Han Chul who can’t tolerate injustice.
Kim In Kwon will take on the role of a clueless god, Ok Shin. She takes care of Kkokdu, while Cha Chung Hwa will play the opposite character, the intuitive god Gak Shin.
“Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol” is confirmed to release on January 27, 2023.
