Synopsis
“Motel California” Korean drama series is about Kang Hee, who returns to her hometown after 12 years, where she had run away in search of success and happiness. She reunites with her first love, Cheon Yeon Su, and confronts the past she had tried to forget. Kang Hee grew up in Motel California, where her father ran the motel in their small village. Because of her mixed-race background and unusual family, she was often talked about by the locals. She secretly loved her childhood friend, Yeon Su, but left her hometown at the age of 20 to move to Seoul. Now, as a successful interior designer, she decides to go back home and reconnect with Yeon Su.
Yeon Su, who works as a veterinarian in the village, has only ever loved Kang Hee. Though many local families want him to marry their daughters, he avoids the attention by not correcting rumors about his relationship with another veterinarian. When Kang Hee returns after 12 years, their paths cross once more.
