Disney+ confirmed the cast line-up for its upcoming drama “Light Shop” (or “Shop Of The Lamp”) The platform confirmed Joo Ji Hoon (Jirisan), Park Bo Young (Daily Dose of Sunshine), and many more in the starcast.
“Light Shop” is the creation of famous author-artist Kang Full, who is well known for his dramas like “Moving.” This is his fifth project in the “Flat Psychological Mystery” series, which is the adoption of his famous webtoon “Jomyeonggage,” published from August 1, 2011 to December 6, 2011.
On January 19, Disney+ announced that Joo Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Bae Sung Woo (Delayed Justice), Uhm Tae Goo (Hometown), Seol Hyun (Summer Strike), Lee Jung Eun (A Bloody Lucky Day), Kim Min Ha (Pachinko), Park Hyuk Kwon (A Time Called You), Kim Dae Myung (Hospital Playlist Season 2), Shin Eun Soo (Twinkling Watermelon), Kim Sun Hwa (The Glory), and Kim Ki Hae (Duty after School: Part 2) are joining the main cast of the drama “Light Shop.”
“Light Shop” is the webtoon adoption that depicts the story of a light store that connects the afterlife to the world of living, creating a point of intersection for the living and the dead. It centers around five individuals ranging in age from adolescence to elderly, with varying backgrounds, origins, and vocations.
Ju Ji-hoon will be playing the role of the owner of a lighting store, which will be the main background for all the unusual happenings and lead the story. However, there are no details about Park Bo Young’s role in this series. But no doubt, fans are very excited for this drama.
Interestingly, “Light Shop” is directed by veteran actor Kim Hee-Won, who’s directing for the first time. Author Kang Full and actor Kim Hee-Won previously worked together in the 2023 Disney+ drama “Moving.”
This drama is expected to release in the second half of this year on the streaming platform Disney+ as its original series. (By Nishima Saini)
