Offers are out to Moon Ga Young (The Interest of Love) & Choi Hyun Wook (Hi Cookie) to be the main characters of an upcoming webtoon based romance Kdrama “Black Salt Dragon” (temporary title).
“Black Salt Dragon” will tell the story of romance between two novice gamers. One is a high school girl who is popular by the name ‘Raspberry’ in online gaming. The other one is popular by the name ‘Black Flame Dragon.’ They both meet in a game, fall in love, and then meet in real life. The drama is set in the early to mid 2000s.
“Black Salt Dragon” comes from the PD of dramas like “Delightfully Deceitful,” “Sh**ting Stars,” “The Witch Diner” and more. If Moon Ga Young confirms, this will be her second drama with the director; earlier, she starred in drama “Find Me In Your Memory.”
The Pre-production of drama is currently underway and the filming is scheduled for around June of this year. The broadcasting platform has not been decided, but tvN programming is being discussed. Considering the filming period, it is said that it is likely to air next spring (In the first half of 2025).
However, according to the source 1*, an industry official said, ”Because it is still in the planning stage, the production schedule and programming can be delayed for any length of time.”
