Upcoming Korean drama “Although I Am Not a Hero” (tentative title) has confirmed its main cast.
Jang Ki Yong (Now, We Are Breaking Up), Chun Woo Hee (Delightfully Deceitful), Soo Hyeon (Chimera) and Go Doo Shim (Twinkling Watermelon) are confirmed to be the leads in the drama.
“Although I Am Not a Hero” is the creation of the PD (Producer-Director) behind dramas like “SKY Castle,” “Snowdrop,” and more. Additionally, it will be penned by the scriptwriter responsible for “Marriage, Not Dating,” “Introverted Boss,” and more.
“Although I Am Not a Hero” will tell the delightful and heart-warming story of a woman who becomes intertwined as if by chance with a family of superpowers who have lost their rare abilities due to a common modern disease.
Jang Ki Yong is confirmed to play the role of Bok Gwi Joo, a man who lost his psychic power due to depression, which allowed him to revisit past moments of happiness. With his power fading away, he feels stuck in his past. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious woman named Do Da Hae, enters the picture.
Do Da Hae which will be played by Chun Woo Hee becomes intertwined with Bok Gwi Joo and his family, who have lost their supernatural abilities due to various modern day issues, like insomnia, bulimia, and smartphone addiction. They start living together as if it were destiny.
Meanwhile, Go Doo Shim and Soo Hyeon will play the family members of Jang Ki Yong who also have super powers.
Veteran actress Go Doo Shim will be portraying Bok Man Heum, a prominent member of the Bok family. She is an insomniac with the unique gift of having precognitive dreams.
Lastly, Soo Hyeon plays Bok Dong Hee, who holds a special place within the Bok family. Bok Dong Hee possesses the intriguing ability to fly but is unable to do so due to her obesity.
The Korean drama “Although I Am Not a Hero” is scheduled for release on jTBC in 2024.
